About us

The Sleep Disorder Center of SW Florida, established in 1989 by Dr. Martin Cohn, is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Monica Woodward began practicing medicine in Naples in 2003 after completing her pulmonary/critical care fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She’s currently the medical director of the Sleep Disorders Center of Southwest Florida, a six bed facility. She is triple boarded in internal, pulmonary, and sleep medicine. She is also a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

She joined the sleep center in 2007, and became director in 2012. She continues the standards of excellence established in 1989 at this practice. From 2013 – 2015, she was the medical director at Physician’s Regional Medical Center. She is also the medical director for OmniTrials, a clinical research division of the sleep center.

Today, sleep disorders are an evolving specialty associated with coronary disease, diabetes, hypertension, stroke and dementia.

With referrals from sleep facilities around the country, seasonal residents to southwest florida are referred to the clinic for continuity of care. Her experienced staff is essential in providing every patient with personalized care.
